(Repost)[YMMV] PayPal: 20% Cashback When You Pay In 4

Update 12/1/25: Just a reminder this promo is still around, ending on December 2nd. Just make sure you activate it first on your account. A few updates:

• Stack with a Cyber Monday deal.
• Another route some are taking is buying $1,250 worth of gift cards they can use in the future, such as Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc – lots of major retailers accept Paypal. Some people are buying from giftcards.topcashback.com which sells lots of high value gift cards, and also has Choice gift card, and they also throw in a bit of extra cashback. 
• Those who used the offer (not maxed out) before the terms change might still be able to make another purchase now. E.g. if you made one purchase of $100 and got $20 back in rewards, you might still be able to make now one more purchase and get up to $230 back in rewards. Ensure that the offer is still showing for you in Paypal. See this comment.
• (Separate note: some readers are seeing their awards adjusted downward to $250, even though they did the purchases under the old terms which allowed four separate purchases to earn $250 each purchase. Hopefully this will get rectified eventually, but obviously not fun to deal with.)

Update 11/26/25: Terms have changed significantly:

• Limited to one purchase now up to $1,250
• Ends on 12/2

If you’ve already used the offer I don’t think you can do it again. 

The Offer

• PayPal is offering some account holders 20% cashback when you pay in 4 (limit of $1,250 in spend per transaction). Valid until 12/8/25

Our Verdict

Offer reverts to the old 5% back deal on 12/9. Suspect this will hit the cap quickly.
